Optus APN Settings for Android iPhone Samsung Galaxy HTC Nexus Windows Mobile Blackberry

Automatic Settings:

For Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson you can use automatic setting. Smart Phones required manual settings.

Manual Internet Settings:

Go to Settings-> General -> Network->Turn ON Cellular Data Network Select Cellular Data Network  > APN and enter the following details

3. BlackBerry 7100g | 7130g | 8100 | 8200 | 8700 | 8800 | 8820 | BOLD | CURVE

1) On Device
    * Select Options (or Settings then Options) > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table.
    * Scroll to the desired account and select Register Now.
    * The handset will display Registration message sent!, click the trackwheel to accept.
    * Click the escape key three times to return to the main screen.
2) On-line
    * Go to the relevant BlackBerry Internet Service Portal website for the service provider.
    * Follow the on-line instructions to send the service books to the device.
3) Access Point only (for some applications)
    * Select Options (or Settings then Options)
    * For software version 4.1 or later, select Advanced Options > TCP/IP
    * For software version 4.1 or earlier, select TCP/IP
    * Scroll to APN: and enter internet or yesinternet
    * Scroll to Username for APN: and enter (if no value is given leave this field blank).
    * Scroll to Password for APN: and enter (if no value is given leave this field blank).
    * Click the trackwheel to enter the TCP options menu.
    * Scroll to Save and click the trackwheel.
    * Click the escape key twice to return to the main screen.

4. HTC P3470 | S730 | P5500 | DREAM | TOUCH | TyTn II |

   1. On the handset, tap Start > Settings > Connections > Connections.
   2. Tap the Advanced > Select Networks.
   3. Under the first drop down box, tap New…
   4. In the Enter a name for these settings: field, enter Optus WEB
   5. Tap the Modem tab.
   6. Tap New…
   7. In the Enter a name for the connection: field, enter Optus WEB
   8. Tap the Select a modem drop-down list and select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G).
   9. Tap Next.
  10. In the Access point name: field, enter internet
  11. Tap Next.
  12. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
          * User name:
          * Password:
  13. Tap Finish.
  14. Tap the Proxy Settings tab.
  15. Select the This network connects to the Internet option.
  16. Close this screen and return to the Home screen.
  17. Tap Start, then launch Internet Explorer.
  18. Tap Menu.
  19. Tap Favorites
  20. Tap the Add / Delete tab OR tap Menu
  21. Tap Add...OR tap Add Favourite
  22. In the Name field, enter Optus
  23. In the Address field, enter http://networker.optus.net.au/wap/index.wml
  24. Tap Add.
  25. Tap ok.
  26. Tap x.

5. Motorola 

   1. On the device, tap the Menu icon.
   2. Select Settings > Wireless & networks > Mobile networks > Access Point Names.
   3. Press the Menu key and select New APN.
   4. Select Name, enter Optus WEB and tap OK.
   5. Select APN, enter internet and tap OK.
   6. Enter the user name and password listed below. If no value is listed, leave the field blank.
          * Username:
          * Password:
   7. Select APN type, enter default and tap OK.
   8. Press the Menu key and select Save.
   9. Press the radio button next to Optus WEB to set the profile as default.
  10. Press the Home key.
  11. Tap the Menu icon.
  12. Tap Browser.
  13. Press the Menu key and select More > Settings > Set home page.
  14. Enter http://networker.optus.net.au/wap/index.wml and tap OK.

6. Nokia Windows Mobile

    Connection Name = Optus
    Data Bearer          = GPRS
    Access point name       = internet
    User Name = none
    Password = No
    Authentication = Normal

7. Palm Treo 750

   1. On the handset, tap Start > Settings > Connections > Connections.
   2. Tap the Advanced > Select Networks.
   3. Under the first drop down box, tap New…
   4. In the Enter a name for these settings: field, enter Optus WEB
   5. Tap the Modem tab.
   6. Tap New…
   7. In the Enter a name for the connection: field, enter Optus WEB

   1. On the handset, tap on Start button.
   2. Tap on Settings.
   3. Tap on Connections.
   4. Tap on the Connections icon.
   5. Under My ISP, tap on Add a new modem connection.
   6. Enter Optus WEB in the Enter a name for the connection field.
   7. Select Cellular Line (GPRS) in the drop down list of Select a modem.
   8. Tap on Next.
   9. Enter internet in the Access point name field. Tap on Next.
  10. Enter in the User name field.
  11. Enter in the Password field.
  12. Tap on Advanced.
  13. Select Use server-assigned IP address.
  14. Tap on OK.
  15. Tap on Finish.
